About the artist
Art gives my life meaning, purpose, and a sense of connection with God and the world around me.
I'm an artist and art instructor based in Central Florida. My work draws on the calm of nature, the vibrant traditions of my Hispanic culture, and the practice of meditation. I work mostly in pastels, along with painting and mixed media, and I especially love creating portraits with depth and emotion.
Born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, to Dominican parents, I was encouraged by my family from an early age. I earned a degree in Graphic Design from Valencia College in 2003, and in 2009 I committed fully to my art. Since then my work has been shown in galleries, juried exhibitions, and festivals across Central Florida.
As an artist and teacher, my goal is to share love, light, and hope, and to help others discover what creativity can do for them. I'm grateful every day for my husband, our two children, and my faith.
